Tips From Your Local, Washington D.C. Speech Therapists

July 8, 2015

Hi there! Our names are Cortney and Jen and we are clinically certified speech and language pathologists in Washington D.C.  As a owners of a private practice called District Speech and Language Therapy, we use a variety of different materials and strategies with all of our  clients. Some speech therapy strategies and materials w'eve used have worked really well with our clients, and we wanted to share these tips with fellow speech therapists, parents, and anyone who works with children and adults with speech and language disorders.

The purpose of this blog is to provide a place where we can share the strategies, helpful tips and creative ideas that have been the most effective in helping children and adults diagnosed with a communication disorder, a speech & language disorder and/or a feeding impairment secondary to Childhood Apraxia of Speech, global developmental delay, oral motor deficits, Autism, Cleft Lip and Palate, Dyslexia, stroke, and traumatic brain injury, just to name a few.

We hope you enjoy and find this useful!

Sincerely,

Cortney and Jen
